IF YOU WANT TO ADD NEW IMAGES these are the steps we took to add this reference images last time.
- When you are in the view editor (A):
- In the right panel of the 3D View editor (if you don't see a panel press N to bring it up) if you scroll down you will find "background images" if the box is not checked, check the box.
- Background Images lets us add images to specific views using orthogonal perspective only, this means that you can add an image to, for example, the right view and you will only be able to see this image by pressing numpad 1 key (shortcut to right view) while in orthogonal perspective, press numpad 5 key to toggle between orthogonal and perspective view.
- In the Background images tab/option click on add image. This will add a new image, you can add many images by pressing add image button.
- In the new image panel set the view with the axis drop down list.
- Set an image with the Open button.
- This should do it.
We usually set references for a side, front and top views, but we can still work with only 2 views we just need to use our imagination.
